With effect from 01 September 2017 we will no longer be accepting cheques in payment for our services. Payments made using the direct transfer/BACS method remain unchanged.

CONSOLIDATION AND CHANGES TO DRS PROCEDURE & POLICY

As of 01 October 2016 the changes to the DRS procedure and policy will become effective.  Full details of this change can be viewed by visiting Nominet’s website.  A copy of the new procedure and policy can also be found here.

PRICE INCREASE FOR ALL .UK DOMAIN NAMES

On 01 March 2016 Nominet, the registry for .UK domains will be increasing their prices for all .uk, .co.uk, .org.uk and .me.uk domains. As a result, we will be adjusting our price on these domains.

Also, on 01 March 2016 our current two-tier pricing system of £7.50 for a one year registration/renewal and £5.00 per year for multiple-year registrations/renewals will cease and our price for a .UK domain will be £6.75 (excluding VAT) per year for all registrations and renewals*.

As this increase does not take place for another few weeks you may wish to take advantage of our current pricing by registering a domain or adding more years to your existing ones now**.

If you have any questions, or wish to add further years to existing domains, which we manage for you, before the increase then please contact us. We will be happy to help you.

* Terms & conditions of registration/renewal apply.
** Only applies when registering/renewing for multiple years (e.g., 2 years or more).  One year registrations/renewals will be charged at the current price of £7.50 until 01 March 2016.

PROPOSED CHANGES TO T & C’S FOR .UK DOMAIN REGISTRATIONS

Nominet are currently looking for feedback on their proposed changes to the Terms & Conditions of .UK domain registrations.  This document aims to ensure it is up-to-date with current practices and is easier for registrants to understand.  Stakeholders are invited to comment on the proposed changes by 23 December 2015.  Further information can be found at www.nominet.uk.

CHANGES TO .UK WHOIS POLICY

Nominet is the official registry for all .UK domain names. As part of their service they maintain a directory called ‘WHOIS’ – an official listing of the full details of all .UK domain names. The WHOIS lookup tool searches the directory and returns information about the domain name searched for. The lookup tool will return domain information for .uk, .co.uk, .org.uk, .me.uk, .sch.uk, .plc.uk, .ltd.uk, .cymru and .wales.  Updated policy information can be found here and the WHOIS policy and rules are accessible here.

ACCREDITED REGISTRAR STATUS

We are delighted to announce that we are now a Nominet Accredited Registrar. This status ensures that we maintain high levels of customer service together with providing fair, effective and transparent service standards.  Come and join our existing customers and experience a high class service.

NOMINET’S DATA QUALITY POLICY

On 6th May 2014 Nominet, the holder of the registry for all .uk domains, implemented it’s new Data Quality Policy.

Anyone wishing to register a domain (the Registrant) and indeed those who already own the rights to use a domain, will have to make sure that all information given is accurate and verifiable.

Nominet’s full policy and how it will affect you can be found here.

LAUNCH OF .uk NAMESPACE

10th June 2014 saw Nominet launch their shorter, simpler .uk domains. By introducing this shorter version they are providing another option to all you “would be” entrepeneurs in making your mark on the ‘net.  If you’re interested in learning more then follow this link.

If you already hold a .co.uk domain then you may be entitled to the rights of registering the equivalent .uk version. To find out if you hold any .uk rights click here.
